Longhorn Cavern Transportation Tips
Make Getting Here & Home a Breeze
WE HAVE LIMITED CELL SERVICE
Remember when you DIDN’T get a push notification every 2 seconds? Get ready to unplug for real — it sounds scary but it feels amazing!
Because you can’t just “call an Uber,” it’s important to make your transportation plans ahead of time.
Once you’re here, your phone will likely say “No Service,” and you won’t be able to call a rideshare or check your GPS. But don’t worry — we’ve got some tips.
4 Travel Solutions: The Adventure Before Your Adventure
1. Drive Yourself
This is the simplest and most reliable way. You can drive to the park and back on your own schedule. Need a car for the day? Try Turo for rentals—you can pick from affordable cars or even splurge on a convertible and cruise down Park Road 4 in style.
2. Carpool with a Friend
Heading out with your school group, coworkers, or family? Carpooling is a great way to ensure a smooth ride while reducing your carbon footprint.
3. Schedule a Rideshare
4. Schedule a Local Taxi
(Call Ahead!) A few local services have made the trip before and may be able to help:
- Jennifer’s Rideshare Schedule at jennifersridesharellc.com/appointment or text 512-996-5039 (especially for last-minute or weekend service).
- ATX Taxi Service
Schedule in advance: (512) 550-2142 or atxtaxiservice@gmail.com - Fine Taxi Service
Old-school but reliable. No website, but you can call (830) 347-4531.
Pro Tip: These companies are located a bit of a drive from the park, so again — advance scheduling is key!
